Bereik en inhoud

This file consists of printed cardstock boards once displayed alongside pottery sherds from the Professor Serizawa Collection, based on their text, although it is unclear what timeframe they were used during or where exactly they were displayed. Two of the boards bear a brief introduction to Jōmon era pottery and its significance; a background of the people who would have produced it; and some detail on the donation of the Professor Serizawa Collection to UBC. The rest list artifact numbers beside their pottery types and locations of discovery, sorted on each board by time period within the Jōmon era. A small additional package contains individual numbers for each artifact, to be put in display cases.

It is believed that one board is missing from the original set, as there is no display board for the Middle Jōmon period, and boards for the preceding and following time periods show an obvious gap in artifact numbers between them.
