Administrative history

The Archaeological Society of British Columbia is BC-based charitable organization that serves to promote awareness and education about archaeology in the province. Founded in 1966, the ASBC historically promoted volunteer and non-university led excavations at several archaeological sites across British Columbia. This practice has since been discontinued and today the ASBC is most well-known for their quarterly journal, The Midden, as well as educational initiatives like lecture series and school talks.

Custodial history

Scope and content

This series consists of profile drawings and charts created during the 1969 ASBC-led archaeological project at Sƛ̓aləp, DgRs-11 (also known as the English Bluff site). Most drawings depict profiles of walls created during the course of excavations and often show stratigraphy, depths of excavation, and wayfinding information. Charts in this series include artifact distribution charts, a soil type chart, and a photograph record chart.
This series is organized into 3 folders in the oversize storage area, drawer 12.
