Administrative history

The Archaeological Society of British Columbia is BC-based charitable organization that serves to promote awareness and education about archaeology in the province. Founded in 1966, the ASBC historically promoted volunteer and non-university led excavations at several archaeological sites across British Columbia. This practice has since been discontinued and today the ASBC is most well-known for their quarterly journal, The Midden, as well as educational initiatives like lecture series and school talks.

Custodial history

Scope and content

This series contains a single file that consists of photographs taken during the course of the 1969 archaeological project ran by the ASBC Tsawwassen chapter at Sƛ̓aləp, also known as the English Bluff Site or by its Borden Code as DgRs-11. Three pages of photo records identify the image in each photograph. Images include shots of the excavated stratigraphy, profile walls, floors, and crew working.
