Administrative history
The Archaeological Society of British Columbia is BC-based charitable organization that serves to promote awareness and education about archaeology in the province. Founded in 1966, the ASBC historically promoted volunteer and non-university led excavations at several archaeological sites across British Columbia. This practice has since been discontinued and today the ASBC is most well-known for their quarterly journal, The Midden, as well as educational initiatives like lecture series and school talks.

Scope and content
This file consists of a small, black notebook with hand-written entries about stratigraphic levels encountered during the excavations that were apart of the 1969 ASBC archaeological activities at the DgRs-11 site. “Archaeological Society of British Columbia” is inscribed on the inside of the front cover. The final page of the notebook contains the outline for a “burial report.”
