Administrative history

The Archaeological Society of British Columbia is BC-based charitable organization that serves to promote awareness and education about archaeology in the province. Founded in 1966, the ASBC historically promoted volunteer and non-university led excavations at several archaeological sites across British Columbia. This practice has since been discontinued and today the ASBC is most well-known for their quarterly journal, The Midden, as well as educational initiatives like lecture series and school talks.

Custodial history

Scope and content

This file consists of daily log forms for archaeological excavations at test pit I9 during the 1969 ASBC-led archaeological work carried out at DgRs-11. The forms record progress on excavations, the day certain areas were excavated, and major happenings during the
course of the project. Also included between multiple records are profile or floor plan drawings that were done in the field.
