Administrative history

Golder Associates was founded in Toronto, Canada in 1960 as H. Q. Golder and Associates. In the 1960s and early 1970s, Golder Associates established a presence in other parts of Canada and expanded into the U.S., U.K. and Australia.

Custodial history

Artifacts and documentary materials related to this project were transferred from Golder Associates to the Lab of Archaeology, and have remained under LOA’s custody since their transfer. In 2011, the collection was re-housed in the current LOA archives location (room 221A at MOA).

Scope and content

This fonds consists of materials related to archaeological monitoring conducted by Golder Associates Ltd. in 2001, at [address withheld], South Delta, BC which falls within the site boundaries of DgRs-9 - ća·yǝm (Tsawwassen Beach). Included in these materials are field notes from the monitoring process; photographs of various areas and objects on the property, site survey forms and a final report created after the finished monitoring.
